How
do you
access
OhioLINK
services
from home or
off campus?
With the
exception of
the
OhioLINK
Central
Catalog,
all other
OhioLINK
services
(e.g.,
OhioLINK's
Research
Databases,
OhioLINK's
Electronic
Journal
Center--EJC
and
Digital
Media Center)
have
restricted
access. So,
you must
login
first before
using them
off campus.
The
process
requires
that you
first
identify the
institution
with which
you are
affiliated.
Then, you
are asked to
enter your
name, your
valid
student/staff
I.D. number
or "BARCODE"
and your
Personal
Identification
Number or
"PIN."
Please
Note:
Students:
Your
six-digit
student
I.D.
number
or
"BARCODE"
must be
preceded
by the
letter
"S"--e.g.,
S123456.
Then,
your
"PIN" is
initially
set up
as the
last
four
digits
of your
social
security
number.
For
security
purposes,
you may
want to
modify
your
"PIN."
This may
be done
through
the
VIEW
YOUR
LIBRARY
RECORD
feature
in
RioCat.
(Also
Note: do
NOT
confuse
modifying
your
"PIN"
with
Change
RioNET
Password
feature
on the
university's
home
page--Rio
Home,
or your
the
"Change
Password"
feature
in
WebCT.
While
all
these
systems
originally
use the
final
digits
of your
social
security
number
as a
means of
access,
altering
a "PIN"
or
"Password"
at one
site
will not
affect
the
others.)
Faculty
or staff:
It is
NOT
necessary
to
include
any
additional
letters
or
numbers
when
entering
your
six-digit
staff
I.D.
number.
If you
have not
already
registered
for a
PIN with
the
Davis
Library,
then
please
do so by
contacting
