Student Awards

Each year, the Music Department chooses two graduating seniors to receive awards recognizing their achievements.

The Edith and Merlyn Ross Music Award is presented to the graduating senior who demonstrates outstanding Musicianship, Scholarship and Leadership. It is named after two former Music faculty members; Merlyn Ross, who established the Grande Chorale and shaped much of the Music Department's current curricula, and Edith Ross, who taught piano and Music Appreciation for many years.
