OhioLINK is a growing computer
network of libraries and electronic
information resources, offering access
to more than 90 research databases and a
combined central catalog of over 40
million records representing the
holdings from all Ohio universities,
colleges, community colleges and the
State Library of Ohio.
OhioLINK's design allows you to
transfer a search from RioCat to
OhioLINK's Central Catalog with the
click of a mouse; saving time and
simplifying research. You will save the
guess work and waiting period of
traditional interlibrary loan because
OhioLINK provides immediate access to
the holdings of the whole system,
including current availability status.
OhioLINK's document delivery service
routes materials within a 2-3 working
days, not a few weeks, as is often the
case with traditional interlibrary loan.
To make a request, simply select
"Request item". You will then be
prompted to indicate the institution you
are affiliated with (i.e. Rio Grande
Community College) and then to enter
your name and your Barcode, that is,
your student ID number (e.g. "S123456").
Providing a copy of the item you want
is available, OhioLINK will place your
request with one of the holding
libraries. If a copy is unavailable
because it is currently checked-out, you
can choose to place a hold on the item,
simply by following the instructions on
the page.
